Welcome to Southern Oak Flowers!

Hi, I’m Ashley Turnage, a full-time high school teacher and part-time flower farmer. Southern Oak Flowers grew from my passion for cultivating blooms from seed to beautiful arrangements, and I love sharing that joy with my community.

Nestled in the small community of Woodington—just 10 minutes outside of Kinston, North Carolina—Southern Oak Flowers is a seasonal flower farm rooted in tradition, sustainability, and a love for bringing beauty into everyday life.

Our farm is proudly located on family land that has been cared for over 100 years, making it a place rich with history and meaning. What began as a passion for growing large flower gardens officially blossomed into Southern Oak Flowers in 2023.

We currently grow our blooms on about half an acre, focusing on environmentally friendly practices and seasonal varieties that reflect the natural beauty of each growing season.

Each year has brought exciting growth:

• 2023 marked our first official season, where we introduced u-pick experiences and monthly flower subscriptions.
• 2024 allowed us to expand with a weekend flower stand, alongside our continued subscriptions and u-pick events.
• 2025 brought even more growth as we introduced business delivery subscriptions to serve our local community in new ways.
• 2026 is already shaping up to be another exciting year of expansion, and we can’t wait to see what blooms next.
